Signed ceramic tiger cub, made in Italy, 1970s

Superb vintage animal ceramic depicting a baby tiger, made in Italy in the 70s. This small-format sculpture stands out for its very expressive modeling and particularly refined hand-painting, characteristic of Italian productions of the period.

The typical posture of the young feline lounging, with its head slightly turned, and the graphic work of the fur, alternating black stripes and ivory and ocher shades, are characteristic of Italian work from the 60s to the 80s. These pieces, often produced in small series and hand-signed before firing, were intended for luxurious interior decoration, where the animal object became a true "salon feline".

The signature under the piece confirms an Italian artisanal production now sought after.
