Slipcasting
Slipware is one of the most identifiable ceramic techniques in Mediterranean artisan heritage: hand-modeled relief, vivid glazes applied color by color, and plant or figurative motifs that transform a simple service into a collector's item. Sicilian workshops in the 60s and 70s produced some of its most beautiful expressions, with their prickly pears in bold hues, their pitchers, their goblets, and their coffee sets that carry all the light and character of Italian craftsmanship of that era.
Club Barbara brings together a selection of slipware ceramic pieces, mainly Sicilian, chosen for the quality of their craftsmanship, the intensity of their glazes, and their state of preservation. Everyday objects elevated to decorative pieces, which naturally find their place in a colorful, Mediterranean, or maximalist interior.
