Murano lamp, in the style of Mazzega, Italy, 1970s

Magnificent table lamp consisting of a metal base topped with a floral Murano Lattimo glass globe, dating from the 1970s.
This piece stands out for the richness of its glasswork, typical of the great Venetian productions of the decade, such as Mazzega.
The globe, hand-blown in Murano, features a dense opaline base in a Lattimo-style "Space Age" flower shape, which gradually lightens towards the top. The upper part is composed of extensive work with concentric undulating reliefs, creating a particularly striking effect of depth and optical vibration when the lamp is lit. Amber glass, integrated into the heart of the shape, diffuses a warm and enveloping light, accentuating the contrast between opalescence and transparency.
This type of glass and design can be found in certain iconic Italian productions of the 70s, notably in glassworks such as Mazzega or in models attributed to Carlo Nason or Toni Zuccheri.
