In the Italian ceramic workshops of the 1960s and 1970s, the palm motif established itself as one of the codes of the Hollywood Regency trend, championed by leading houses: Tommaso Barbi, the Lombard ceramists, and the workshops of ornamental tradition then adorned the interiors of the peninsula with precious ceramics. The pearly pink glaze changes with the angle of the light, and the modeling is crafted in the shape of a palm tree, an iconic silhouette of the 70s-80s. No cracks or chips are to be deplored.

The lampshade is a creation by Annick Naudy, one of the great French lampshade designers of the 1970s, whose collections were eagerly awaited each season by decoration professionals at trade shows. Her palm dome model, one of her signature shapes, combines a natural ecru silk curve with a glass bead fringe. The craftsmanship demonstrates the high technicality of couture lampshades: perfectly stretched curve, adjusted chimney, carefully applied trim. Presented here in new condition, from preserved stock.
