Brass & textured glass leaf lamp – 80s

A sculptural piece with a precious botanical design: this 80s lamp combines a circular gilded brass base with a swivel diffuser in the shape of a stylized leaf, made of translucent frosted glass.

This type of luminaire, which appeared in the 70s-80s, is often attributed to the Murano tradition. It is a design inspired by models by Barovier & Toso or La Murrina, using glass elements called "frost leaf" or "scavo glass".

The relief of the glass catches the light to create a soft and precious atmosphere.

The underside of the base is lined with red felt, a sign of particular care taken with the finish.

Ideal as an accent lamp or as a Hollywood Regency style light accent.
